UDEP has three campuses:
Campus Lima, with 2,043 undergraduate students
Campus Piura, with 4,913 undergraduate students
PAD – School of Management.
At International level, UDEP has more than 100 international partnerships with universities in Europe, America and Asia.

UDEP offers 15 academic programs, including Engineering, Architecture, and History and Cultural Management. We have developed several projects related to cultural heritage.
Professors of UDEP took part of the multinational team that studied the Inca Trail or Qhapaq Ñan in Cusco and Ancash. The studies involving the University of Piura addressed engineering aspects of the Inca Trail. The project was exhibited at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC.
Another important project developed by the University is the archaeology project at the historic colonial site “Piura La Vieja”, located in the province of Morropón, the first Hispanic foundation of the South Pacific.
The University also participated in two ethnographic research projects that promoted rural tourism in Ayabaca (2009- 2011) with Universidad de Sevilla, AECID and the WTO (World Tourism Organization).
UDEP will be in charge of the design and implementation of a competence Centre focused on Social data. It will also be in charge of the dissemination and exploitation activities and, in general, with the sensibilization of local stakeholders in project activities. It will also provide data and info to the quality and project management systems. It will provide technical and professional support in the implementation of the self-entrepreneurship labs.
